DV case filed. next step.. what we do.. need some tips

My son in law is a Major in indian army. My daughter was staying wthhim in Mhow. On June 2022 he assaulted my daughter by bitting her. We have the receipt of the medical treatment which was taken in a private hospital. Now after 1 year we 've given a case in Mahilacourt. will the case be favourable for my daughter? or do we need to file a FIR on local police station also?

I presume that your daughter has filed a domestic violence case against her husband. Even if your daughter files a police complaint a protection officer will make enquiries from both sides and the report will be forwarded to the mahila court and it will be proceeded as a domestic violence case.
