Duplicate marriage registration

I was married in 1996 according to Vedic rites., but registered marriage only in 2022. If my husband registered marriage with another woman in 2019, what is my legal status? Considering that the Supreme Court in May 2024 has validated marriage according to Vedic rites?P Basu

Hello, There is a recent Judgement of the Hon'ble Supreme Court regarding Hindu Marriage and how the rites and customs have to be followed. If the rites and customs are followed and if he has married for a second time then the second marriage becomes null and void ab initio.
