Dowry harrasment and Physical Abuse issue

My husband keeps harrasing me for more money and also abuses me physically. Can i write a complaint to women and child development agency office as suggested by 1 of my friend? What happens if I write complaint to them?

hi if there is physical abuse and mental abuse then you could file petition for domestic violence case and obtain refraining orders from court compensation also for section 498A for harassement amd for other things and could seek relief
