Documents marking during Evidence stage

28-Nov-2023 (In Divorce Law)
Hi Team, I am contesting divorce and during petition I had attached photocopies of originals in main petition. Now the stage is petitioner's evidence. So Can i submit originals at this stage for marking or is there any order that I cannot submit the original documents at this stage.

Yes. We can submit original documents in the court at the time of submitting the evidence. Sometimes there are documents which we do not want to submit even at the time of submitting evidence, in that case we can show the original documents to the court and the court can allow to take the photocopy of the document on the record. The court will endorse on the document OSR and will admit the document in evidence. OSR means original seen and returned.

If you are the petitioner then at this stage, You can produce the originals and get the photocopies verified and if required you can also attach the originals with the main file. There is no such order that you cannot submit original documents at this stage.
