Divorce petition draft procedure and time taking

I got married on March 3rd 2020. Since April 8th 2020 I'm living sepearate. My husband injured my head and abused me mentally and physcially. I have doctor reports and few recordings as proof. But we agreed for Mutual. Our advocate suggested by a mediator. For both parties(me and my husband) laywer is same. It's been 3-4 months I paid more than half amount. I signed few papers 2 months back. After many calls now my lawyer is saying he didn't submit in court yet and want me to sign papers again. Adv. is not responding well. Why process is taking too much time ? Or is lawyer dragging ? Should I change lawyer ?

you can change lawyer if the lawyer has not filed the case and got it numbered. if the case is filed and got numbered, you need to get NOC (no objection) from that lawyer.
