Divorce of Hindu girl with Muslim boy

My sister got married to Muslim boy as per their Muslim rituals but this marriage is not registered in court. Boy is not earning and due to which he is not able to fulfill any responsibility as husband and father. My sister needs divorce but boy is not ready for Divorce. Kindly guide on this matter.

Namaskar. I understand that in Muslim marriage which is called Nikah can only be performed between Muslims. Therefore your sister must have converted before marriage. After marriage they have something called Nikah Nama. As per my knowledge a Muslim wife cannot divorce her husband but for few reasons like Husband leaving Islam etc. This issue is extremely tricky and may be resolved only after due deliberation.
