Divorce case passport abroad possibilities

my divorce case got over last week and i am divorced now.I want to travel abroad on work visa next week (as it is the last date to travel on visa) and i am not getting any appointment date to update my passport within this time period. can i travel with old passport on which my husband name and in-laws address is mentioned and get it update later. Please suggest and share the possibilities or drawbacks.

As such updating has nothing to do with your travel ! You can keep the divorce decree n application for name change n you can travel likewise ! Certainly, you can travel there without any foreseeable consequences as you have a valid reason for not updating it. Upon your return to India, remember to update your passport. Have a safe and pleasant journey!
