15-Sep-2023 (In Divorce Law)
Hi,I'm Lima, from Hyderabad,I have a problem with my marriage.i got married in January 2014, we didn't gave any dowry,He doesn't have any job at the time of marriage, but they have got property, From day one ,we didn't like eachother and my families also, after 40 days of marriage,I came to my parents home. Since I am not comfortable with my in-laws,ask him to stay with my parents, but he not accepted.he stopped talking to me.we also didn't tried to talk with him or his family, from three years we didn't talk or seen eachother,I guess he is not interested in me,and accepting to stay with us or separate family. He didn't apply for divorce, but I heard he is planning,is it possible to give divorce for him,I don't want divorce, even if I want to apply is it possible to ask compensation.upto now my father is looking after me,he is govt employee. Can I file any case on him and his family,I want him but not his family,or at least compensation if he apply divorce. Please help me

Yesyou have every right to get the compensation, and also you can object the Divorce if you're not interested, until your acceptance he has to wait nothing else, all law relating to marriages and Divorce call family law is supported to woman's only. If you're willing to meet for suggestions.

Hi
It appears that your husband might apply for divorce under grounds of desertion (since you both were staying away from each other for more than one year) and thereby avoid payment of compensation.
So, in order to counter your husband's claim, you should contest on the grounds that separation was caused by acts of cruelty so caused by your husband.
It is also sad to see that you have not filed any maintenance case or domestic violence case against your husband and chose to keep quiet (probably because you thought your husband will change and take you back).
You should make up your mind on your marriage and decide the next course of action.
