12-Mar-2023 (In Divorce Law)
I would like to know what is the major difference between running a divorce case in Provisional sub- court and family court. What are the merits and demerits of running a divorce case in Provisional sub- court rather than a family court.

Family Courts deal with Family Matters, and District courts deal with Civil and Criminal matters. However, a Family Court has the same jurisdiction as a District Court, and all appeals go to the High Court and later on to the Supreme Court in both cases

you do not have the choice to choose a court, as the jurisdiction decides the court. In villages and towns, it would b Sub Court and in Cities it would be District Court. and when there is a special court available for dealing with Family disputes, then Family Court which had the same power as a District Court.
