Cash given in pooja at the time of engagement

24-Jul-2023 (In Divorce Law)
Dear all,nnDuring my engagement with my now-wife. My father in law put some 50K INR in cash into the pooja thali without our consent. There is video of same and it clearly shows that the money is there in the pooja thali.nnWe noticed that after the pooja ceremony was done and asked him to take it back but he didn't. nnCan my wife or her family file a dowry case against me with respect to this?nnPlease note - We strictly are against dowry and didn't take any.nnKindly help.

Dear Client, It's just a shagun, so that will not be considered as a demand of dowery further if you take other things then it's might be possible and if you seek some other clarification then explain the facts of the case properly.

Pooja as for the Hindu ritualism is considered sacred in Pious and immaculate somebody using you dowry in that regard is extremely heineous offence in its own right I'm pretty sure that you wife and his kith and kin and family relatives will bear the brunt if there do something redundant or even say something unwanted inneeded for exact queries and consultancy you may contact me
