Can this be a Ground for divorce

12-Jan-2023 (In Divorce Law)
Hello, nOurs is love+arranged marriage. Because my father inlaw died soon after our wedding, my husband and his family's behavior towards me changed after that. His mom, sister and relatives always find a way to insult me..which is affecting my peace. So I have minimised seeing them and I have recently skipped a family gathering. My husband doesn't acknowledge the insults made by his family towards me and often disregards my mental well being. He says me distancing myself from his family is causing him stress. Can he file divorce because of this? He also beat me once very badly and there are other various issues too.

1. This cannot be a ground for divorce, as you can give any rational reason for avoiding the family gatherings/functions. 2. Verbal/Physical abuse is not meant be tolerated, you can voice out your limits even if it is love&arranged marriage. 3. Cogently try to comprehend your side issues to your husband, explain to him about the insults/harassment by your in-laws. Finally, only amicable methods will help you to solve the discrepancies between you and your husband. if you are willing to reconcile with your husband, try to open up your hardships.
