Can I seek mutual divorce if husband lives abroad ?

Husband lives in australia.Married from last 3 years but only 3 months we stay together.so no understanding at all. Want mutual divorce. How much time it will take as he is coming to india for 20 days only after that he will not come to india anymore.So is there any way we can take mutual divorce in that 20 days only?
It is virtually impossible for securing divorce in 20 days as the minimum time provided by statute is 6 months. However, in your matter it will not be possible in 20 days. Whereas you can contact me with the documents for securing divorce in 6 months.

Yes you can get mutual divorce.
The case can be filed and the next date I.e second motion date will be after 6 months. Then also the husband will have to appear and it will be final. Only three day procedure now and only one day on second motion.

Yes you can. You can get divorce You can file petition under sections mentioned in HMA. There are many cases like yours who have got divorced. Petition is to be presented by both of you either in person or by power of attorney

with the recent interpretation now high Court or the Honorable Supreme Court can waive off the period of 6 months and one year which is mandatory to get divorce as per Indian law. however there is no such shortcut available whereby you will get divorce within 20 days. however there is another way by which you can get divorce without his presence. you can file petition for divorce of any such ground available under law and with mutual understanding proceed him as ex party and get decree of divorce within 6 months or earlier.
