Can I get punishment for Extra Marital Affair?

My wife has filed a complain on me. CWA only stated its about Extra Marital Affair & possible violence might have happened. I never had any kind of violence with my wife. I being honest I cannot deny Marital affair kind of things but since Jan am not in contact with that person. If I agree that I was in contact with third person for 4-5 months. What will be the punishment in such case under 498A?
Extra marital affair is just a ground for divorce in INDIA and has no provision of any punishment for-extra martial affair but also do not admit that you were having any contacts with any one if genuinely there were no intentions

Well, under Sec 498A, there is no punishment for Adultery. Adultery is no more an offence in India. Domestic Violence committed by Husband and Inlaws for the sake of Dowry and other reasons is an Offence for which they can be booked under Sec 498A of the IPC.
