Can husband file for maintenance

Hi, I earn more than my wife but I have recently lost my job due to bad market conditions 4 months ago. Can I file for maintenance on her to afford my lawyer for the contested divorce. She filed for divorce and I am contesting it along with my the RCR which I filed.

Well, you may file an Application to seek Maintenance from your Wife. But, whether you will succeed or not depends upon your Bank Balance, Moveable & Immovable Properties, considering, you have just now become poor recently due to bad market conditions and lost your job, so it will not create a huge impact which will change the mind of Hon'ble Judge to grant you Maintenance.
