Can an admission can be done in maintenance case. In such scenarios can there be judgement without the presence of petitioner

Dear Sir, If the Respondent was placed ex-parte. The Petitioner will be examined by way of filing Affidavit and getting marked documents on her behalf to claim maintenance. Without her presence the Court cannot pass judgment unless her evidence is recorded. Sometimes, the Petitioner may appear through Power of Attorney then her presence is not necessary.
