Can a disposed divorce case filed by me be reopened, even if it was disposed uncontested?

17-Jul-2024 (In Divorce Law)
I filed for divorce against my wife on grounds of cruelty, with the High Court directive to close the case within 6 months. The judge in the subcourt scheduled daily hearings to expedite the process. Unfortunately, I missed last week's hearing, resulting in the case being disposed of uncontested, with no costs and dismissed as well. How can I reopen the case at the same stage? What are the steps to reopen a disposed or dismissed divorce case?

Yes of course, you can reopen the case filed by you and which was dismissed for default. You need to file that petition to reopen within thirty days of the dismissal order. Normally your petition will be allowed and the case will proceed from where it was left.
