Boyfriend forcefully ended relationship for another girl

01-Apr-2024 (In Divorce Law)
I was in a relationship with a boy for about 5 years and 8 months, he promised me of marrying me after his sisters marriage and just because of the promise we were physically attached too now all of sudden as he moved to Delhi and kissed another girl he forcefully broke up with me blaming that the entire fault is on my side and I am bad and now he is happily roaming around with that girl and left me with fake promises, fake hopes and all lies. I want him to be punished.

Your case is of rape. If it is established that from the inception, the consent by the victim is a result of a false promise to marry, there will be no consent, and in such a case, the offence of rape will be made out.

If there was a physical relationship between you both then you can always file a complaint to the police station according to your jurisdiction and register a FIR against him under section 376. And if the police fail to attend to your grievances then you can also approach the court under section 156(3) for the same. For more legal assistance I am just a call away.

if just on the pretext of marrying you later he had been in a relationship with you and now on his part itself he had broke the relationship all of a sudden and is with another girl so you can avail your legal rights in this scenario

You can submit a written complaint at the nearest police station. If they decline to address it, you have the option to file it before a competent Magistrate in your locality. But before proceeding with this I would recommend you to have a word with that boy because after your complaint its implications would be severe.

it's unfortunate that you are facing such a betrayal from him. as u told he promised you as to marriage and physical relationship was there you have the option of filing a rape case as in our penal laws whenever a physical relationship is established coupled with a promise to marry and if the boy failed to keep his promise the lady has the option to file fir U/s 376 and got a case registered against him for rape on pretext of marriage. other than filing a rape fir unfortunately there is no other legal remedy however if you lodged the FIR the chances of his getting arrested within few hours is very high as it a non-bailable and heinous crime in india
