Approval of decree obtained abroad

Hi nCould you please advise on the time taken to get the approval on decree obtained from abroad (UK/US) in India , basically approve the divorce in India?nAlso what are the requirements to obtain the approval ?

Your question isn’t clear that where did u take divorce ? How can u obtain decree passed in UK/US in India ? If u hv got married in India, then u have to take divorce in India under HMA …if u practices Hindu religion! Plz b in touch

different different High Court have different observation for this type of approval Bombay High Court Rajasthan High Court and Gujarat High Court not approve foreign divorce degree because foreign Court not apply Hindu Marriage Act

Hi There is a twin test that has to be satisfied in order to file an application for execution of a divorce decree granted by a foreign court.
