Anullment summons not received by opposite party
20-Jun-2025 (In Divorce Law)
I applied annulment in court with 200% evidence to get it. But opposite party(lady) not taking summons means in postal summons got returned to court that addresse not found. In this case how much time I can get to get annulment decree. When I married they are lived in a rented house, in case if they vacated house how to find them and get my annulment
You can request the court to allow substituted service by newspaper Publication, as the respondent is untraceable and summons are returning undelivered . The newspaper publication is legally considered as if she received the summons . If she still does not appear, the court can hear your case in her absence and grant an annulment decree. The time will depend on the Court work load.
