After marriage cancellation & marriage certificate & details removal

My friend was do registered Marriage through special Marriage act only 14 days ago & received the certificate on same day. Due to various problems are happening from both side. Both side also agree to cancel this marriage & certificate & delete the all details from database. Please let us know any procedure if possible..
deleting of data from their data base is not possible as it gets uploaded in the government portal but is the marriage registered and aigned by both parties if yes only way to get out of it is by way of divorce proceedings on mutual grounds
