Aapko kin logon ko dikhana hai? Defamation tab hota hai jab kisi ke baare me aap jhoothi baat failate hain. Agar aap sahi bol rahe hain to problem nahi hai. If you are showing to your friends and family and not to a publication in that case also it should not be a problem.

Dear Client, Yes, you can show Chat/Recording as proof to friends/family to clear your name, but do it carefully. If you share private chats/recordings _publicly on social media_ or send to third parties without consent, the other side can file defamation u/s 356 BNS or a privacy case. *Safer way:* 1. If this is during divorce, file these chats as evidence in Family Court through your lawyer. Court proceedings have legal protection. 2. If people are asking you, give a brief written clarification + offer to show proof _in private_, don’t mass forward. 3. If the other side is defaming you falsely, you can send a Legal Notice for Defamation + file complaint. Truth + Good faith is a defense in defamation, but recording laws in India require consent. Don’t post it online without legal advice.
