You must address her in writing about the same. You can take a visit to her office asking regarding the draft of divorce. If she fails to revert then you can take legal action against her. Feel free to contact me for seeking any legal advice as regards the same.

Advocates don’t take the alimony amount and why you have given 15 lakh to advocate without any court order ? Who has decided the alimony amount ? How you have paid this amount ? Cash or cheque ? Consult the lawyer and get back your money .

If you have paid the full alimony amount and your lawyer is not proceeding with your divorce petition or is avoiding communication, you may consider filing a formal complaint with the Bar Council of your state regarding professional misconduct. You also have the right to engage a new advocate and ask for all case-related documents and receipts. If the alimony payment was made without a written agreement or court order, you should preserve proof of payment. Please consult another lawyer immediately to safeguard your rights and proceed with the divorce properly.
