About Mutual divorce and what if the in-laws go for cases against me

21-Jun-2024 (In Divorce Law)
So i thought that i was a bisexual woman and for family's sake i ended up getting married to a man. Thought that as per everyone's say it would be alright after marriage. But after marriage only i found out I'm lesbian and thinking about doing anything with a man or husband makes me all disgusted. I talked this with him. He is ready to get divorce But the thing is, It is only 60days to our marriage and the in-laws may file case against me /my family for Defamation or Damage. What should i do?

If both parties are in agreement, you may file a mutual divorce petition before the jurisdictional family court. The family court typically imposes a 6-month waiting period for reconsideration of the decision. However, if you have a valid reason for the divorce that is sufficient to compel the court, it may waive or reduce this waiting period. Opting for a mutual divorce is often advantageous as it can save considerable time, energy, and financial resources. Furthermore, any cases filed by the in-laws against you or your family would not hold if the divorce is mutually agreed upon.
