About changing cast from Teli to Kunbi

I am a girl belongs to kunbi cast wanted to marry a guy belongs to Teli cast
We both are OBC but my parents denied to marry as it will be intercast marriage. Is there any provision for changing his cast to Kunbi
you may marry without changing your caste by performing registered marriage as per special marriages act. The only condition required for register marriage is that both of you should be major and should provide your identity cards.
