My wife registered 498a in her hometown. She already left my flat three months ago and I had filed for separation last month. What should I do if police keeps calling me to visit police station along with members named in FIR? I have not given any written notice till now only received call from police. Well, you do not have to present before the Police until you get a Sec 41A CRPC Notice from them to appear and co-operate in the Investigation. If you are totally clean and have not done something wrong, there was no need of taking anticipatory Bail, you merely would have co operated in the Investigation and as such, Police would have not arrested you and by providing evidences in your favor, you would have got a clean chit in Chargesheet. However, by applying for Anticipatory Bail, you would have made 100 % sure, that, Police cannot arrest you until and unless it receives order from the court.
