498A case not pursued for 17 years

Hi,
My wife put a 498A and 506 case against me stating I threatned her to kill. This case was filed in 2008. I asked police to arrest me since I don't want to fight the case. But they didn't obliege and asked my relatives to pursuade me to apply for anticipatory bail. Somehow my relatives made me to apply for anticipatory bail. Till now I don't know what happened to that case. I am still ready to go to jail but not fight the case. Unfortunately I don't know FIR case number or the police station.
Dear Sir,
It seems it was closed at the Police Station level without filing charge sheet. No Police Station keep FIR alive for more than three years. If you are not received anything from the Police presume that there is no case against you. In the meanwhile you may file Divorce case and get freedom from the marriage bonds by getting legal divorce from the Family Court.
