498a and DV charges against me and my family members
21-Jul-2026 (In Divorce Law)
initially my wife filed cases against me and my 6 family members ipc 498, 323, 504, 506 at akola khadan police station and we have already files quashing case to Nagpur high court for those 6 members and now wife filed DV IPC 12 17 18 19 22 23. what should i do next
Since the DV proceedings are separate from the 498A case, you should appear before the Magistrate, file a detailed written reply, and contest the allegations on merits. If the DV complaint is false or legally unsustainable, consult your advocate about seeking appropriate relief, including quashing in exceptional cases where legally justified.
Mention that the wife previously lodged an FIR under IPC Sections 498A, 323, 504, and 506 against the husband and six family members.
State that the relatives have already approached the Nagpur Bench of the Bombay High Court by filing a quashing petition, demonstrating that the allegations against them are disputed.
