What to do my friend is being blackmailed

on april 29th my friend updated a whatsapp status containing a meme of caste based reservation on ambedkar where the meme was created by using titanic movie templates.. as he downloaded from some facebook pages and uploaded it but some of his scheduled caste friend is threatning him to give 25000rs otherwise he lodges a complaint.
Hi...no need to worry much. Tel your friend to record the cal details of the blackmailer or save theire threatning msg . And such kind of posting not amounts to defaming any one and police also not register complaint on such things.
