Sextortion Case Guidance (sensitive information)

I was fabricated in a fake video sex chat, and they threatened me to publicly defame my image. Ultimately I had to pay an amount, to reach to a deal. I have complained on cyber crime portal and noida local helpdesk. This is a sensitive issue, please guide me legally, how can I keep myself safe. I have taken up a risk of reaching out to law enforcement agencies as in such the victim is continuously subjected to torture and ultimately ends his or her life. I want to take this to conclusion.
