Procedure when police refused to lodge FIR for stolen laptop.

Hi, I have recently registered a complaint in police station regarding my stolen laptop,I contacted the HP Laptop customer care,and they're asking for FIR,but the police department is not giving FIR, its been almost 1 month,the police department is not restponding in this issue,the laptop price is 50,000.still no solution by police department,I don't know what to do next,So kindly give me a suggestion. Any chance to put a FIR , I'm waiting for your reply. Thank you

Check with the police station as to whether FIR has been filed?
Incase, if the FIR has not been filed by the local police station, write a detailed complaint to the superintendent of police(in case of town limits) or the deputy commissioner of police(city limits) as provided under sec154(3) crpc.
Alternatively, you can also file a complaint before the jurisdiction magistrate and pray for a direction to register fir and investigate under 156(3).
