Procedure of seizing my mobile phone as I am accused

Do the police officers have any right to confiscate my mobile phone without giving any consent and without giving any details of the petition against me when I went to the cybercrime police station in compliance with the summons? I have not been officially served with any information about the charge against me except the summons without any details about the petition/petitioner. I was not given any consent for my cell phone to be seized, is this a legal act.
