Is asking a girl belly pic just for joking is an offense

Respected lawyers I would be grateful if I can get some advice. I want to ask is asking a girl pic of her belly just for joking and not actually receiving anything is considered offense. I even apologized to her and she said it's fine. It had happened 1 year ago. Can she try to take revenge after say 2-3 years for it?
Yes its a serious offence,it doesn't matter if you recieved it or not. Its an offence under section 66a of Information technology act along with section 509,354A of Indian Penal Code. There is no expiry date in a criminal offence the complainant can make a complaint any time, however a delayed complaint gives benefit to the accused however irrespective of that its an offence if it can be proven by evidence such as screenshots or call recording.
