How to taken action against the person committing cyber crime

06-Sep-2023 (In Cyber Crime Law)
My friend's phone was stolen by my ex boyfriend and he gained access to my friend's facebook and gmail account. My friend has no way to retrieve those accounts as the phone number, email address (the ways to recover the account), have been lost. My ex bf have been posting my private pictures through this account.Despite reporting,FB didn't take the account down.We have filed a complaint with the police, with no progress.Recently my ex bf has sold this account to another guy in USA who has taken the control to commit the crime through VPN so that his IP address wouldn't be tracked. I got this confirmation from a fake email with the screenshot where the person using my friends account confirms the sale. My ex bfs current wife admits that he has stolen the phone. However there are no legal actions and i keep getting defamed everyday. Can the court issue a warrant for FB to disclose the user details of the person who started initially posting my pictures to catch the culprit in India?

Hi,
Was there any FIR filed u/s 66(c),66(d) of IT act and u/s 420 of IPC? . If any FIR filed with cyber crime police then you need to follow it up with court where FIR is submitted. IP address can be tracked, even if anybody use VPN to spread any of the information.
