Donating old mobile to servant, possible issues.

I want to donate my mobile to a servant, if someone misuse it am I responsible for the same? The device has IMEI number and these are ad hoc workers and may transfer someone later. Is there anything we can do to transfer IMEI number too?

Just execute a sale agreement and get it notarized along with witnesses if you are fearing that your device might be misused. And in that agreement include a para that you will not be held responsible if in future the device gets involved in any of the criminal or civil litigation. you can take an undertaking from your servant that he is now using the phone and he is responsible for any act that might happen by using the phone. however it is best not to give a phone registered in your name to anybody as there is always a risk of misuse of the device.
