cyber defamation on instagram account by unknown person

unknown person on instagram is doing defamation by sending messages to my commom friends . i have make written complaint to police station and also to cyber cell. but still no acction is taken. what is the procedure to take acction from court through privet complaint and plese refer some case laws

Apart from submitting a written complaint, get an FIR registered with your local police station and they will take action. For private complaint, you have the legal right to file a complaint with the Judicial Magistrate/ Metropolitan Magistrate of your local jurisdiction under Section 156(3) of the Code of Criminal Procedure, 1973, requesting that the FIR be registered by the police and an investigation into the matter begin, and the Magistrate may take cognizance of the same under Section 190 of CrPC.
