Wrongful arrest by police without asking any questions

I was wrongfully arrested trying to intervene two parties fighting. Then the cops came and arrested few people nearby in which I was one of them. They didint tell why I was being taken.No charges have been done yet but they sent me home after taking to police station. nWhat should I do?
