Will I still hold any criminal records after been proved innocent

14-Sep-2023 (In Criminal Law)
I had criminal case like sec. 504,506,448,427,324, but now i am proved innocent by the court of law. and not guilty, but to fill the IAS application form there are questions like : 1)Have you ever been arrested? yes/no 2)Have you ever been prosecuted? yes/no 3)Did you have any criminal records before ? If Yes mention I was arrested and was prosecuted for 2 years. Should i mention it over here ? Will this not make me not eligible to the exam? But if i do not mention it here will they not know in background verification and police verification? What has to be done sir ?

You have been acquitted. That means you have not committed the alleged crime. You had been arrested but on unproved allegations. Therefore, in the form you need to explain about unlawful arrest while filling the column for query No. 1 appropriately. For all other queries, your answer should be 'no'. You are eligible to apply for IAS exam.
