What to do if I was molested by a person while travelling

I would like to know the provision for a woman who was on a visit to another city. she was grabbed on the street by a scooter driver. What can she do? Does she have to visit the police station and court afterwards too and be harrassed by legal procedures?
If you have noted the number of scooter, you can go to the the nearest police station and brief the police authority about the incident tha ensued. Yes after that court proceed will pursue.

Go to near by police station and registered the FIR against the scooter driver. If police not register ur FIR then u can approach higher police for register the FIR if higher not listen ur voice then file a criminal complaint againt him direct in the court

She must immediately call to police at no. 100 and file a complain u/s 354, 354A, 354B, 354C, 354D, and 375. She must note scooter no. which will help police to trace the culprit/s. She can record her statement at her home or where she is comfortable, statement will be recorded by a female police officer not before sun rise and not after sun set. She has to perform basic legal and procedural formalities that law requires, she must not worry as there is no harrassment by legal procedure.

You need to go to police station having jurisdiction where you were molested and lodged an FIR against that person. After investigation, recording your statement the Investigating officer will file charge sheet against the accused and you will be summoned to court at the time of recording of your evidence only

That woman made mistake that she didn't make any police call immediate after the incident, now you should approach police as soon as possible with a proper written complaint mentioning all facts and also mention about those body parts which he touched and the way he touched.. more delay in filing police complaint will make your case weak..
