What is the time limit for filing appeal against orders of JFMC court

29-Jul-2023 (In Criminal Law)
Can you tell me within how much time does the state need to appeal against an acquittal granted by the JFMC court & does the appeal have to be filed in high court only? Also, in case one the accused is a police officer does the time period vary?

30 days time limit for filing appeal from jmfc to district court. As part amendment 2005 now appeal against acquittal may lie to district court on certain cases. Law is equal for all whether he is pm cm or police. So you may file appeal in district court.
