What is the punishment for not submitting the police verification

whats the fine if i was unable to submit police verification on time?Police was saying it comes under section 188.No case is registered yet.May i get some advice on this.

It is now mandatory to give tenants information to police for verification bcoz for safety and awareness. If even though u r ignoring it and it amounts to annoyance, injury or obstruction u will be punished for 1 month to 1 yr simple imprisonment and or 100 to 1000 fine or both. So if u not done complete it with the help of police. Police will help u.
