What is the procedure of the court when other party does not turn up

My wife filed FIR against me under section 377. I got arrested and then bail. Then they started forcing me to compromise after paying money, I denied. No chargesheet since 1.5 yr. Now I filed quashing in HC. She did not turn up on first hearing, only IO came. I went with my lawyer. Jusdge gave next date for next month. my questions are ; 1. why IO came ? 2. what will happen when she does not turn up again OR not at all for any hearing? 3. what are the provisions available to her to be take advantage? nadeem/muslim

firstly u can file divorce on the basis of complaint filed by your wife as it is mental harassment for you. Now IO came in the court as he was answerable to the court why Charge sheet is not filed. If she does not turn up in future then after a period your lawyer can file for dismissal of case as the complainant is not present or his whereabouts are not known.
