What if police is not including right sections?

Sir, when eyewitnesses have stated to the officer in investigation that accused would have killed the victim if we people dint come to rescue, then "Does it fall under Attempt to Murder"? the victim was hit hard in this scene, at this time accused shouting that he will kills victim today,& after beating accused had run away as public increased. now, police registered FIR under petty sections but didnt included 307 ipc to favor the accused. Now what can we do to get justice? motive:land dispute
