What can I do if my husband beats me and abuses me

Within 15 days of our love marriage (Hindu )my husband started abusing me verbally and slapped me over household matters. I am afraid to file police complaint as he is very aggressive. He is willing to give divorce by mutual consent. What should I do?
Dear Madam,
If he is ready to give divorce on mutual consent you may do the same. And if you thinks that he is just buying time you have right to file case under domestic voilence. Or further please note that, you may submit an application before police for the act by the husband.
