In the context of High Court hearings, "week commencing" (WC) followed by a date refers to the week that starts on the specified date, which is usually a Monday. It means that the court event such as a hearing is expected to take place on any day within that week, not necessarily on the starting date itself.

For example, if a notice says "week commencing 06.05.2024," it means the hearing is scheduled to occur sometime between May 6, 2024 (Monday) and May 10, 2024 (Friday). The exact day within that week will typically be finalized and communicated closer to the date, depending on the court's listing schedule.
