Proposition that section 494 of IPC is intended for men who commit bigamy seems to be doubtful. The necessary ingredients of section 494 are: (1) having a husband or wife living; (2) marries in any case; (3) in which such marriage is void, and (4) by reason of its taking place during the life of such husband or wife. Bare perusal of Section 494 of IPC does not carve out any exception that it is intended for men only.

I have seen your query carefully and found that your marriage is void. you can file a petition against your wife for declaration of marriage as null and void before family court. you have already been filled a case against your wife under section 494 IPC. According to section 494 IPC if any male or female do marriage knowingly that her husband or wife whatsoever is living and alive is committed an offence punishable with the terms upto seven years imprisonment. But if the first marriage has been declared void by competant civil court then it is not an offence. secondly if the husband or wife is missing from seven years and there is no information regarding death or alive then in that case it is also not come under any offence. you can file a petition against your wife for declaration of the subsequent marriage as null and void before the family court. if you want any further information or any other advice then contact me without any hesitation through administrator of this website

not only in 494 ipc you can also go for 420, and 406 of ipc. this is clear matter of breach of trust. and you can file suit in family court for declare your marriage null and void. bcoz your wife already married with many other people.
