Hi I want to proceed my criminal case regarding forgery committed by the opposite party

You may initiate criminal action for forgery under BNS by filing a police complaint invoking Sections 336, 337, 338 and 339. If FIR is not registered, approach the Magistrate under BNSS for appropriate directions.

You may proceed by first filing a detailed written complaint before the concerned police station narrating the acts of forgery, supported by documentary evidence. Offences of forgery are punishable under Sections 463, 465, 467, 468 and 471 of the IPC, depending upon the nature of the document forged. If the police fail to register an FIR, you may approach the Magistrate under Section 156(3) CrPC or file a private complaint under Section 200 CrPC.
