Dear Sir, There is no time limit but it must be within reasonable time. What is reasonable time will be decided by the Court and the Police Station. If Police refuse to register your complaint even after showing sufficient grounds for delay then approach Court by filing private complaint.

any criminal case need to be before 1year and need to justifiable reason for each day delay, as you are telling rape immediately need to file complaint so that medical examiners will give report based on that your case withstands so I suggest you file complaint ASAP
