Surety Bailable warrants cancellation

I had given surety in NI act case to bail out a friend he kept on saying that his lawyers are handling all matter with result I got notice of forefiture of bond amount and then when I told him about he said his lawyers are handling it no need to worry then finally I got bailable warrant for it when I told him to come to court he did not come as agreed .I missed 2 dates as I was going under going treatment for major depressive disorder at Government hospital and now fresh bailable warrant is still pending for me .Can I go to court with surety amount earlier than Court Date to cancell bailable warrant .Do I have to still pay bond money . He is being declared as PO soon.
