Hi, My bike got stolen in Delhi for which fir had been registered but ultimately case closed as bike was untraced. Recently it was found in other state, Haryana in a case. Can Delhi police get my bike back or do i have to get it from Haryana ?

Since the case is closed in Delhi, it would be wiser to get the bike released by filing a supardari application in the concerned court in Haryana. Logically you would be wanting Delhi police to step up and do the needful but in the practical world this is just a logical desire. Try getting the bike released as suggested here and in case the same fails we do have relief possible from Delhi too.

as your bike has been stolen from the Delhi and the FIR has been lodged in the delhi's jurisdiction, you don't have to lodge FIRs in different states, Haryana in this case as the police officials of delhi will go and bring your bike from the Haryana jurisdiction.
