Started business with a partner in chattisgarh he ran away with money

Hi, 4 partners started an education business in Chattishgarh, Local partner in Chattishgarh took money from all 3 and in 1 year he mentioned all money is consumed without any clarifications. We have proof of all amount submission and also he provided some checks to recover the money but got bounced. Now from last 3 years he is giving us excuses to return money but no luck. I wanted to take legal action against him from Noida court as I'm based out of Noida and cnt travel to CG for all court hearings. Please advise what best can be done in this case.
You can file a first information report with your local police station in case you have all the evidences available with you against this person. You can give the exact details of the amount involved and what exactly happened. There are provisions in the Indian Penal Code.
